My wanderlust made me explore South Africa.

I have always loved visiting new places, do things which I have never done before. The presence of my family with me on such adventurous tours makes it more exciting. Hello, I am Arjun! And I travel with my parents and sister Anjali to various amazing places, and today I wanted to write about one such tour — A trip to South Africa

Our journey started from Mumbai to Johannesburg via Dubai. Yes, we flew Emirates. I loved the flight, but as a frequent traveler, my dad’s experience was just satisfactory. My journey began as we landed at Johannesburg airport soon, we checked into Holiday Inn.

We visited Gold Reef City to see the gold making with our naked eyes. It’s a must-visit place if you are touring this beautiful country. Yeah, we had yummy Indian food city of Johannesburg.

Our next destination was Sun City. South Africa’s largest holiday resort with kids attractions like zipping, water theme park, and more. We loved the wildlife inside Pilanesberg National Park.

After spending two exciting days in Sun city, we went to George- our next destination. We had a friendly tour guide Mr.Kaya who also drove our vehicle. He was amiable and explained to us all the essential things to know in these places. He took us to Knysna to enjoy the evening John Ben Cruise. I was told it’s a 100-year-old cruise service. Personally, I didn’t like much, but the elderly seem to be attracted.

The next day on our way to Capetown Mr.Kaya took us to Mossel bay here I had my best thrilling and chilling experience. I did sky diving for the first time in my life. We visited — Cango Caves — Klein Karoo’s oldest and most popular attraction… One of the world’s natural wonders. Afternoon we went to Oudtshoorn, had the ultimate “ostrich experience,” lunch at High Gate Ostrich Farm.

We visited Stellenbosch Vineyard on the outskirts of Capetown, it’s a 100-year-old vineyard. It was very scenic inside. My father bought a bottle of honey, which we enjoyed having it back home.

We headed off for a Cape Town City trip via road it was a 6 hour long drive through the Mountains which gave a panoramic view of the city and coastline.

The next day we went to Table mountains, it’s very different from the mountains in our country. Many tourists from different countries visit to experience the table mountains, city view from the top. My sister and I took many photos, and the day evening we went for a full-day tour of the Cape Point trip to Hout Bay. I read that cape point is where the lands end for Africa and the closest point to Antarctica. One thing I missed on our tour is the Robben Island tour which was canceled for bad weather. Robben Island is where former President of South Africa Nelson Mandela was imprisoned before the fall of apartheid. I will try to visit this island if I revisit South Africa.

Our tour ended there, my father took us to a factory outlet mall where we bought some shoes and clothing for my running.
