Water from the top of the mountains which are in western Ghats flows down to the dam. Coimbatore gets water from Siruvani and Pillur Dam. Water comes to our location from these dams through the following ways

  1. The large pipeline is built from the dam to cover the locations people are populated.
  2. Naturally formed canals that flow through the land bring water to pools (kulam)

Every locality has a large overhead tank which is filled with river water and released to every house through small pipes for drinking and other household purposes.

I think not having responsible behaviour is more worrying than the plastic in which the bottles are manufactured.

So, I propose a ban only in places that are not handling waste responsibly.

Take a country like Singapore that have separate bins for recyclable plastic. Why should it be banned there?

However, third-world or developing countries still find multiple utilities after water consumption, like refilling, etc. …
